Gosier Tradition

  • Puddles are omnipresent on the territory of the Throat ., they are characteristic of the Grande Terre.You can have a walk in the puddle to Bwè to Cocoyer, to the puddle of Diavet to Besson, at the source of Poucet and the gully of the Bridge Paved in Grande-Ravine.
  • The mills are mainly from sugar period. You will come across the remains on the road. Le Moulin de Bernard at Mare-Gaillard can be visited.
  • Fort Fleur d’épée , rich place in history and lighthouse of the " Road of the slave " (thematic circuit around the slavery and around the memory set up by the Region Guadeloupe) where you can admire the bay of Gosier and Basse-Terre. Open on Mondays from 10:00 am till 5:00 am and from Tuesday till Sunday from 9:00 am till 5:00 am. Rate: free entrance.   • The museum Costumes and the traditions includes dresses, traditions, a part(party) of the West Indian history(story) as well as a medicinal and floral garden. Open from Tuesday till Sunday from 9 am till 5 pm. Rate: 9€/adult - 6€ / child less than 12 years.
